Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler was a man who brought many horrendous atrocities upon mankind. He was an Austrian who lived from 20 April 1889 to 30 April 1945. His parents were completely different characters. His mother, Klara Hitler, was a sweet woman who treasured her son but unfortunately, over indulged him. His father ,Alois Hitler, was a terrible man who started to abuse Adolf Hitler from the age of six. As his mother was soft on him and his dad was harsh, he was bewildered by the two extremes. As he grew up, his school grades started to worsen. His dream was to become to a good artist but The School Of Fine Arts told him that he had no talent as his paintings were sexual. This made him very mad. Later on, Hitler turned into one of the extremely monstrous dictators in history. He became a German politician and the leader of The National Socialist German Workers Party, which was later known as The Nazis Party. Hitler became the head of The Nazis party in 1919. He was also Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945. He played the lead role as the Fuhrer in World War II and the Holocaust, which was also known as The Shoah. It was a horrifying crime against humanity when about six millions of human beings, mostly European Jews, were eliminated with no pity, at the orders of the Fuhrer. Hitler was the direct cause of all of those disasters.

Before World War II began, Germany's economy was in dire straits. Hitler knew that the hard- working Jews had tremendous wealth. Hence, he targeted them because he knew that they had what he wanted. Because of their success in business, many Germans at that time were also envious and started to resent the Jews as a group. Hitler used this sentiment to his advantage by fuelling the fire of racial tension, by the cunning use of propaganda. Germans wanted better living conditions, so his speech persuaded everyone relatively easily. Jews didn't notice Hitler's actions until he ordered his sky units to spread the newspapers about Jews having negative impacts on Germany. When they realized that they were in big trouble, it was too late because most of the population in Germany were already starting to follow Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was the main reason why Germans hated the Jews at that time.

As the Jews were now hated by Germans, more Jews from other European countries were annihilated during World War II. About 66 percent of European Jews were arrested, most of whom were subsequently killed. They were treated with so much cruelty under the Third Reich. They were tortured in many horrifying ways. For example, sometimes, they were forced to strip and got whipped until they were dead. Some of them were locked in the Gas Chamber, where Nazis released poisonous gas and let the prisoners die slowly and painfully. There were many other brutal methods of torture, inflicted upon the prisoners. These cruel acts were mostly carried out by Nazis. The soldiers that were on the front line and eliminated most of the Jews were known as the Death Squad. They also massacred anyone who defied or irritated them. However, they weren't punished as they had the authority to do anything they wanted. They were also responsible for the Jews who attempted escapes. The commander of all of those units was a man named Jürgen Förster. He was trained as an SS-officer. He enjoyed killing Jews as much as Adolf Hitler. Many horrible things were done to Jews, who were innocent, because of Hitler's selfish desire to become powerful.

Two of the most horrible events in history, World War I and World War II, were started by Germany. Germany lost both times. As Hitler was the man who was mostly responsible for World War II, he became paranoid when Germany began to lose the second World War. In the end, he committed suicide by gunshot on 30 April 1945 in his Fuhrerbunker in Berlin. His wife, Eva, also died by consuming cyanide in the joint suicide pact. Later on, as per Hitler's last wish, their remains were quickly removed, laid in a ditch, covered in petrol and set on fire.

With his death, all the madness and hatred towards the Jews began to dissipate as the Germans were glad that Hitler was no longer alive. Adolf Hitler continues to be hated until today.

Jack The Ripper

Jack The Ripper

If what I know is correct, Jack The Ripper was a notorious, unidentified murderer, who butchered his female victims. His crimes were carried out mainly in the Whitechapel District in the East end of London in 1888. At that time, he was also known as The Whitechapel Murderer and the Leather Apron. For every crime of his, the victims were women. Most of the women who were killed were prostitutes. The reason why I am so interested in him as a character is because, until today, his true identity remains unknown. Thus, he evaded capture and was not sentenced nor punished for his crimes.. I researched about him because he is a very mysterious and historical figure and my favourite hobby is, solving mysteries.

In 1888, Jack had the people of London, living in fear. It seemed like his main targets were women. Usually, after his victims were slaughtered by Jack, their throats were slit and all of their internal organs were removed. There were two infamous events that were related to Jack: Whitechapel Murders and Canonical Five. They were connected and the proof was that the Canonical Five occurred during the Whitechapel incidents. The Whitechapel Murders are believed to be the first of such killings, committed by Jack the Ripper. Eleven people were slaughtered from 3 April 1888 to 13 February 1891. Their corpses were so hideous and disgusting that there weren't any words to describe them. For example, a woman named Smith was robbed and sexually assaulted at Osborn Street. Later on, she was transported to the hospital while she was still alive. A mysterious blue object was found in her vagina and it resulted in her death. Tabram was killed on 7 August 1888. Her body was found with 39 cuts on it. The Canonical Five was about the first five murders by Jack the Ripper. The victims were Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes and Mary Jane Kerry. They were all cruelly slaughtered. All those horrible cases had something in common and it was the fact that all of these incidents took place late at night. Thus, the police concluded that Jack the Ripper only made his move during the night.

As most of Jack the Ripper's crimes involved the removal of internal organs, the detectives and police department highly expected that the culprit might be in the medical profession. Therefore, later on, they started to make a list of possible suspects. In addition, they also suspected nobles too, because rich people also knew about biology. After lots of thinking and arguments, the police concluded that there was a high possibility that Jack the Ripper might be one of these three men : Montague John Druitt, Aaron Kosminski and Michael Ostrog. Montague was a barrister turned teacher who committed suicide as the killings mysteriously stopped. Aaron kosminski was a polish Jew who lived in Whitechapel. He was suspected because 2 other Jews declared that they witnessed Aaron as Jack the Ripper. As Jews were thought to never betray each other, this story was doubted, but there was still a possibility. Michael was a Russian-born thief and con man. His background supported the probability of him being the culprit. Still, nobody was certain who was the true Jack the Ripper.

I had no idea who Jack the Ripper was until I saw some Japanese anime on television and learnt lots about it. The cartoon was about a kid detective. I tried to learn more about it by asking my buddies but they had no clue what I was talking about. Then, I realized that it was pretty unusual for a kid to know about a notorious criminal. After that moment, I started to get interested in him so I researched about Jack the Ripper. I was very happy when I learnt everything about him.

Jack the Ripper was indeed the most notorious criminal in London in 1888. Although I wasn't able to solve the mystery of Jack the Ripper, I shall keep on researching about him and maybe one day, I will uncover the truth about Jack the Ripper.

Eagle Day Review

THE ESCAPE

I had read a fictional novel titled THE ESCAPE, which was about the foundation of an organization named CHERUB and the wars. CHERUB was a group that used kids, who were trained and treated like secret agents, to stop the negative events such as raping , murdering, terrorism. The organization used this speech to persuade the governments and military armies to tell them ugly situations or events, 'Only CHERUB agents can unearth the truth. They're trained professionals with one essential advantage: adults never suspect that children are spying on them". There is a series of books of CHERUB. In sum, there are 12 series of CHERUB. The novel was written by a English man named Robert Muchamore in March, 2011. I really enjoyed reading that novel.

The story was set in May 1940 and started off as the book told that the German invaded France for the certain purposes: To take over the land and to kill the British spy named Henderson and have his documents about groups of trained British spies. The main characters were Marc Kilgour, Rosie Clarke, Paul Clarke, and Charles Henderson. Marc was a French boy who was twelve years old and an orphan. He lived in a decrepit farmhouse for 11 years. He desired to run away from the orphanage as he was treated badly by an owner of the orphanage named Director Tomas. His only wish was to get out of the place he stayed for 11 years and have a peaceful life. He escaped with both enthusiasm and fear while German air raids was attacking the farmhouse with no pity. He realized that there wasn't any safe place left in France. Thus, he looked for a place he could live in until he found out his new purpose of live when he found a house. He lived in that house for few months and it belonged to a man named Henderson. Rosie and Paul were the daughter and son of a man named Mr. Clarke. He was the French sales representative for the Imperial Wireless Company. Rosie and Paul were both eleven years old. Rosie was a girl who was slightly-built. Paul was a shy boy. Their mother mother died after she gave a birth to Paul. Later on, their father died because of unfortunate event and told them to find a British man named Charles Henderson before he left the world. They spent few months searching for him but they couldn't find him. Therefore , they started to live in Church with a priest, his wife and a boy named Hugo. Henderson was a one of the British spies and his mission was to gain any information that was related to Hitler and his great, large, and monstrous army. Those characters were the main protagonists in the book.

The story of the novel was very interesting as I learnt about World War and Hitler. Long time ago, when I was young, I wondered what Hitler did and how horrible the World War was. I learnt so much from that book. After I finished the fictional-story, I realized how horrible and scary the gestapos, SS officers, U-boats , air raids, Nazis, World war 2 and about communism were. The main reason why I loved it so much was because of the used vocabulary and the story. For example, I was very interested when I was on the scene where Marc was caught by 4 gestapos. I thought their black uniforms and their strength were impressive until they thrashed Marc several times to gain knowledge about Henderson out of him. After I read those lines telling about how much Marc suffered, I was very grateful that I was born in modern days. There were lots of scenes that involved shooting and escaping. I was so into the novel that my mom kept telling me to let my eyes rest. There were lots of scenes about Henderson and Marc going into the few spots where there were lots of trained soldiers, hided few bombs inside the buildings, and escaped when the bombs exploded as the explosion took several lives away. After I finished reading the whole book, I kept reading my favourite parts all over and over again until I had enough.

I really enjoyed the novel THE ESCAPE but I thought it could improve by decreasing some inappropriate scenes. For examples, there were lots of snogging and body contacts in the book. There were about 7 pages about it. As I was too young to think about sex and didn't even get a first kiss, I would prefer deleting harems, and adding more conflicts would be. Moreover, the sex was not really related to the story so I thought it wasn't necessary. Then, it would be a perfect book to me.

Last month, I read a book named THE ESCAPE. I was amazed because the novel was amusing. The main 2 reasons why I liked it was because the story was exciting and it helped me learn about various things. It could improve by lessening unnecessary information. Still, it was very wonderful with the way it was.
